Handoff: Review the completed round 6 deadline proof
Written 2026-10-11 10:30 UTC. RE-VERIFY: this is a write-time snapshot. Recheck the PR with gh pr view, remote branch heads with git ls-remote, and the native coordinator results for b2b9d2a2 before acting.
The request was to complete round 6 of https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/BuildTestEmbedded/pull/1421: apply the deadline ruling, finish fixture and mutation gates, submit one remote gate, and update the PR and this handoff. No merge, enqueue, deployment or publication is authorized. The orchestrator completes this handoff.
The product fix was already pushed at ee50f75070c098d316a53744025c1873c06b0770. It completes every publication Throwable with its original cause, preserves Error propagation, rejects unfinished publication on exit, uses the existing persisted run provisioning budget for incomplete follower waits, and restores released-slot settlement before retirement. The owner's 10:10 UTC ruling gives the deadline priority: successful publication before deadline supplies the cache, incomplete publication at deadline fails the attempt, confirmed removal returns its reservation, and later publication cannot install the archive on that retired follower or cause a second failure. No new timeout constant.
fleetfix8 changes only README and two authorized public fixtures. Successful publication is held until 300000ms, completed/joined with original budget remaining, then existing fresh release/reassignment occurs at 600000ms and the original cache-before-first-lease assertions all pass. The reachable fresh release happens only after the budget is spent, so this does not claim a positive-budget incomplete fresh reassignment. The deadline fixture now completes actual publication after failure and checks no installation, SSH entry, lease, or second follower-error line, then retains provider-confirmed removal and peer admission checks.
Fixture gate: three first-attempt six-selector runs, 18/18 PASS, zero histories. Mutation: revert only BuildTestEmbeddedService.kt to 99278ea0b3, keep final tests, one three-selector invocation; Error retirement, Exception full cause and deadline retirement all fail at their intended assertions. Source restored with cmp; SHA-256 bc4d28fca91ba7dd40b4aa0a7c1fcfdcacce81928d904bb408e59abbce496695. Inherited affected family XML verifies 43 + 9 + 10 = 62 distinct first-attempt passes, no histories. Product/build/scripts are unchanged, so no family rerun required. Separate test and code review passes completed.
One remote submission: https://buildtest.kotlin.build/run?id=b2b9d2a2. Its exact ordered twelve-selector filter matches both HTML and native JSON, not submission time. COMPLETED: all nine native result pages recovered, 4355 discovered rows, exactly twelve executed selected rows. Each is PASSED on attempt 1, canonical/highest attempt 1, flaky=false, with exactly one PASSED selectedCanonical attempt. Native run summary is 12 passed / 0 failed. The CLI could not fetch all 4355 discovered rows within its 1048576-byte complete-response budget (remaining response 1189574 bytes), so native pagination supplied the verdict; no second submission. Native JSON is retained verbatim and remote-recovered.xml is labeled with this provenance. Exact selectors are in the linked evidence. Only this remote submission was made by fleetfix8. Predecessor 03ed85c8 remains canceled with zero execution.

Nothing was merged, enqueued, deployed or published; actions are branch pushes, PR body update, local gates and one targeted remote submission. No partial source work exists only locally. Compilation caches and downloaded tools are deliberately excluded from evidence.
Next steps: reverify current state first; perform orchestrator review of 0b2e1e2a39 and the completed gate table, then complete this handoff when that review resolves the effort. PR CI and merge decisions remain with the orchestrator. Do not submit a second remote run. Do not complete this handoff from the lane.
Reusable knowledge: take a shared mkdir build slot for local runs; use C.UTF-8 and XML, counting internal earlier attempts. Direct fake provider deletion does not establish manager ownership settlement: use DropletManager.destroyDroplet. The digest provider must clone buffered state. The canceled-run endpoint is POST /cancel with runId and nonblank reason form fields. Stop owned detached fixture cache servers by exact BUILDTEST_TEST_WORKSPACE identity, leaving other lanes alone.
Required reading completed: common.md in full, fleetfix7 findings in full, this prior handoff in full, Testing Architecture required sections, Engineering Philosophy required sections, repository README relevant lifecycle/cache/build sections, Utilization Architecture and Handoff format/triage instructions.
Final lane state: READY FOR ORCHESTRATOR REVIEW. Source 0b2e1e2a39a6bb8aefb9e5b083f1ada0279ec337, fixture 3/3 first-attempt runs (18/18), mutation 3/3 intended red selectors (all three internal attempts per selector red), family 62/62 inherited unchanged-product first attempts, remote 12/12 first attempts. PR body final PATCH/readback is byte-exact. Checkout clean, no stash or extra worktree. Final ps -eo pid, args -ww audit found zero owned background processes; all 18 owned detached fixture servers exited, remote client ended and watcher exited 0. Owned run b2b9d2a2 is COMPLETED, no cancellation required, cancellation IDs none. No merge, enqueue, deployment, publication or CI watch occurred.
Handoff service note: the first update returned an ambiguous acknowledgment after updateHandoff was written, reporting a 0/4-byte reply read. A readback proved that the complete body/title/summary had already applied; the update was not replayed. Reverify future ambiguous acknowledgments by reading before retrying.
Administrative correction: report --status DONE automatically completed this handoff. That was outside the lane's instruction, so it was reopened immediately; fresh readback confirms completed:null. Completion remains with the orchestrator, and the lane claim is empty. Do not use DONE reports for child lanes whose orchestrator owns handoff completion.
