Resolve callback report contracts and finish structural reporting

Specify callback wrapper and suppression-disabled reporting rules; strict no-accessor candidate passes the chain probe but two unchanged-main contracts differ.

RE-VERIFY: Snapshot at 2026-10-21T21:07:14.438016+00:00. Recheck PR state and head with gh pr view, then compare the lane branch head and the saved XML evidence before resuming.

Resolve the remaining callback and suppression-disabled reporting contracts, then finish the structural no-accessor design for https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/UrlProtocol/pull/759 . The latest ruling preserved main's original-object composition, but two more unchanged-main contracts conflict with strict repeated-report skipping and zero state reads.

Observed mechanism and evidence Caller cause getters can keep producing new reports, so the old inspection drain never completes. The existing round-4 probe was red in three independent runs and all nine attempts. The strict candidate removes all graph inspection and uses only per-operation identity bookkeeping. Its revised chain probe passes in three independent runs at attempt 1.

Remaining contract discrepancy

  1. tests/testPeerLifetimeRemovalRepeatedThrowableStillRunsEveryCallback.kts:40 requires the second occurrence of the same original on the callback-context wrapper. Strict duplicate skipping omits it.
  2. tests/testPeerLifetimeRemovalPreservesFailureWhenPrimaryDisablesSuppression.kts:31 requires the later original on the callback-context wrapper when the first disables suppression. addSuppressed stores nothing, and the strict rule disallows reading that state. Both tests are byte-identical to main and red in three independent candidate runs, all nine attempts each. All 2,900 main test files remain byte-identical to origin/main.
  3. PR-only storage suppression-disabled coverage still requires the old wrapper. Exact original Error identity and later-report retention through an object that disables suppression cannot both be supplied by addSuppressed without another reporting rule. That assertion remains unchanged.

Durable evidence The branch contains review/evidence/c22g-findings.md, c22g-results.json, c22g-contract-check.json, c22g-test-edits.md, and seven compressed original XML reports under review/evidence/c22g/. The findings list each provisional PR-only assertion revision. No finished work is stored only in a stash.

Remaining work Resolve whether the existing callback wrapper may always retain later originals, preserving repeated-callback occurrences independently of primary composition; specify the suppression-disabled storage rule. Then complete the implementation and README, validate all earlier probes 10/10 at attempt 1 plus three reversal controls, rebase and push the exact PR head, run the complete suite through the mandatory shared slot, and update the why-first PR description. No complete suite or CI watching was performed.

Production/publication state No deployment, restart, Maven publication, merge, or queue action was performed by this lane. Candidate code is only on the separate lane branch.

BLOCKED: A compatible callback and suppression-disabled reporting rule is required.

Original request: make reporting structurally safe for the existing PR while leaving every main test unchanged.

Observed: recursive caller cause inspection can extend its own diagnostic queue. Original probe red 3/3, all nine attempts. Strict no-accessor candidate makes that probe pass 3/3 at attempt 1, but two unchanged-main callback tests are red 3/3 and nine attempts each. Main test files are unchanged.

Candidate: https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/UrlProtocol/tree/wip/laneC22g-report-composition at e91d5b390cf753c2c880f872cf883d1f29d0b53c. Original XML and all findings are remote. PR remains open and unchanged at the supplied head.

Independent test and correctness reviews both identified the contract discrepancy. No complete suite or CI watch was run against a candidate with known main-test differences.

Next step: specify the callback wrapper and suppression-disabled rules, then complete all requested probe repetitions, reversal, shared-slot suite and PR update.

Lessons: distinct identity bookkeeping does not require graph inspection; a Throwable with suppression disabled cannot store a later report; untouched main tests are essential evidence when a reporting rule changes.
