gh pr edit fails because the installed GitHub CLI queries deprecated classic project cards.

What was being attempted: update the description of https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/kompile-core/pull/218 with failure classification, regression evidence, and controlled compile benchmarks after pushing its repaired branch.

What went wrong: gh pr edit 218 --repo CodexCoder21Organization/kompile-core --body-file /tmp/pr218-body.md failed with the exact error GraphQL: Projects (classic) is being deprecated in favor of the new Projects experience, see: https://github.blog/changelog/2024-05-23-sunset-notice-projects-classic/. (repository.pullRequest.projectCards). The body remained stale even though editing the PR body does not require project-card data.

Impact: the standard documented PR-edit command could not update required review evidence and, without explicit verification, could make an agent falsely report that the PR description was updated.

Workaround used: sent the body directly to the REST endpoint with jq -n --rawfile body ... | gh api --method PATCH repos/CodexCoder21Organization/kompile-core/pulls/218 --input -, then verified the returned head SHA and body markers.

Suggested durable fix: upgrade or patch the installed GitHub CLI so gh pr edit no longer requests the removed repository.pullRequest.projectCards GraphQL field, and make the command use the REST pull-request update endpoint for body/title-only edits.

Status: STILL EXISTS. The current image still ships gh 2.23.0, while the upstream project-data fix remains open, so the deprecated Projects Classic query path is still present.

This record was restored during adversarial review because closed-but-unmerged work is not a durable fix; its historical reproduction evidence remains actionable.
