RE-VERIFY — 2026-10-05T08:01:20.576756+00:00, round 7: deadline acceptance still fails

This replaces older PR650 readiness claims. Independent PR649/upload state below is preserved. Live PR https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/pull/650 is OPEN at unchanged 8b47b36e00e34f8caf537c66f91737e0f8f3e08d; neither candidate below is its head. Both GitHub Actions checks were SUCCESS, required remote checks IN_PROGRESS at the final read. No CI watching/re-request, merge/enqueue, deploy or artifact publication occurred.

Measured mechanism: software SHA-256 twice over selected rows consumes 481/632 pre-output producer JFR samples and approximately 9 seconds before output. CRC32C plus exact row length removes that sampled cost (approximately 2.5 seconds preparation); cursor SHA-256 remains unchanged. However checksum-only payload durations were 27184, 14440, 19538, 15699, FAIL32483 ms; expanded output candidate FAIL33406 ms. Both preserve 192 MiB and the unchanged 30-second cap. The final deadline stack is a filesystem read during output; this does not identify the remaining walltime mechanism. No third speculative fix was made.

Correctness on the expanded candidate: RowEncoding PASS6252 ms; 16-cell replacement matrix PASS14780 ms; 24-cell truncation matrix PASS12820 and7811 ms; FailureCleanup PASS9252 ms; CursorGone PASS8565 ms; strict PASS10227 ms (workload6759.263404/startup1247.307576/teardown45.353341 ms). Total observed round-seven scenarios13PASS/2FAIL. Five-repeat focus sequence and full54 confirmation are incomplete; inherited53/54 is not candidate verification. Independent source/test reviews found no implementation issue; exact closing-tag wire assertion was added and passed.

Remaining work: diagnose residual output walltime with test-owned JFR file-read/GC/scheduling events and exact phase boundaries under the same restriction, fix the demonstrated mechanism, then satisfy five-consecutive payload, prescribed focus-five and54-selector acceptance; rebase and safely push reviewed source to PR650; orchestrator owns required remote CI and merge decision. Apply round-seven's evidence-only exit: do not treat these recovery branches as accepted fixes. No excluded repository changed. Read current refs before using either candidate.

RE-VERIFY — 2026-10-05T07:22:56.352676+00:00, round 7 checkpoint

This snapshot supersedes older payload diagnostic claims below. Recheck https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/pull/650 and remote refs before acting. The PR remains OPEN at8b47b36e00e34f8caf537c66f91737e0f8f3e08d; candidate source is separately durable at https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/tree/wip/l2l-round7-20261005, remote772978c56baa731feecb209b686a4828c08f248e. Measured mechanism: request selection and snapshot capture each hash every selected row with softwareSHA256 underTieredStopAtLevel1. JFR227selection/254copy identity samples dominate the pre-output producer work, with~9s of serial selection/capture before~15s output. Candidate usesCRC32C plus exact row byte length, justified for accidental concurrent rewrites by explicit scope ruling; across-request cursorSHA256 unchanged. First unchanged192MiB payloadPASS27184ms/30000ms with no owned fixture leftovers. Four more consecutive payload samples,16-cell replacement matrix, five samples each of24-cell truncation/FailureCleanup/CursorGone/strict, then54 selectors and final safe rebase/push remain. Margin is not accepted from one near-bound sample. No CI watch/re-request, merge/enqueue, production deploy or publication authorized. Independent upload work remains unchanged below.

RE-VERIFY — 2026-10-05T07:05:05.618211+00:00 — PR650 round-six source pushed; validation remains blocked. This supersedes older log readiness and upstream-publication requirements below. Independent upload state is preserved unchanged in the historical/current upload sections; this continuation only owns the log PR. Re-read live PR and refs before acting.

The owned PR https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/pull/650 is OPEN at 8b47b36e00e34f8caf537c66f91737e0f8f3e08d, normally fast-forwarded from freshly read f432a051 after final rebase on unchanged main dab37c7890cb8787c3ea767219ed0ad8bccb1ea5. The final snapshot showed two GitHub Actions checks IN_PROGRESS, mergeStateStatus BLOCKED, and no listed kotlin.build (remote) result. Required remote CI is orchestrator-owned; it has not been verified green. No CI watch/re-request or merge/enqueue/deploy/publication occurred.

Original round-six findings closed in source with public proofs: selected raw row identities are validated at snapshot capture, so same-length level/message replacements fail with complete410 before headers;16-cell replacement matrix passes. The plain-HTTP writer now closes its Netty connection through public Ktor2.3 APIs on committed output failure; unchanged positive200/64KiB/fault/30s probe passes both transports. HTTPS close-framed output may terminate by EOF, whose partial body must fail complete JSON parsing; HTTP requires stream failure, and neither accepts a read deadline. The24-cell committed-output matrix holds a later snapshot read behind a latch, observes200, then changes the original file and verifies the complete selected page/cursor. Fixture ownership starts at directory creation, closes run independently, small FailureCleanup is~692KiB, and unchanged large stress fixtures live in owned directories with external terminal cleanup after forced JVM termination. Strict timing has no environment lookup; warm-up stays separate. Independent source/test reviews also closed bare-CR EOF normalization and early facade ownership.

Additional exact public rotation regression: old source returns total55 instead of original byte-snapshot total1 when the real writer rotates after retained readers open. Validation now occurs during reader acquisition; scan/proof/capture uses those owned handles once. Same strengthened test fails old source6354ms and passes candidate5605ms, including complete row/metadata and reader/snapshot cleanup assertions. A targeted192MiB payload run passed24469ms, but its final prescribed sample still failed the unchanged30000ms guard (reported32731ms). Client/producer were actively decoding/writing; this differs from the corrected injected-I/O response hang. The residual elapsed-time mechanism is not fully identified; do not call that deadline fixed.

Final prescribed54 selectors:53PASS/1FAIL (only testAdminLogsOutOfOrderPayload); additional rotation scenario1PASS/0FAIL. All20 strict samples PASS under unchanged ActiveProcessorCount2/64clients/25000rows/256pages/128MiB/30s. Reported scenario min/median/max8542/13815/17339ms; workload5342.237/9075.076/12408.784ms; startup1001.336/1515.775/5414.838ms; teardown35.071/64.748/159.723ms. Maximum17339ms exceeds the15s margin ruling; orchestrator/user deadline acceptance remains open. No cap, count, heap or stress reduction.

Remaining: identify the residual large-payload deadline mechanism through public phase/JFR evidence with unchanged bounds; orchestrator/user rules on strict margin and verifies required remote CI, then performs its review/merge decision. This is partial salvage, not DONE or merge-ready. No excluded repository was modified. Ktor3/Kotlin migration and third-party artifact publication remain excluded; the explicit own-output-boundary ruling solved response termination without them. Upgrade issue: https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/issues/651.

Workarounds are recorded prominently in findings/evidence: native hcli bytecodefetch once ended with Streamclosed/read0of4 and stopped calls now have hard deadlines; no failed header-only handoff was uploaded. Structured REST PATCH avoids the earlier gh classic-project field problem. Parent cleanup removes owned large fixtures even after child termination, before parsing optional evidence; shared /tmp deltas are retained rather than attributed. No complete/release call is made.

RE-VERIFY — 2026-10-05 06:02 UTC — PR650 round-six continuation; validation in progress. This supersedes the earlier upstream-publication requirement and log readiness claims below. Recheck live PR/ref state before acting.

The explicit scope ruling permits ContainerNursery to close its own plain-HTTP connection after a committed writer failure using public Ktor2.3 APIs. That correction now passes the unchanged header-gated public test on HTTP and HTTPS:1PASS/0FAIL,11160ms, then the prescribed campaign sample4423ms. No Ktor3/Kotlin migration, third-party fork or artifact publication. Follow-up upgrade issue: https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/issues/651.

Selected-byte identity and fixtures are durably corrected at https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/tree/wip/l2k-round6-20261005, SHA b89f6b60d17cf8cd4d79160a361e11295d256857. Focused encoding,16-cell replacement matrix,24-cell committed truncation/rewrite matrix, filtered-prefix matrix and completion-order probes all pass5/5. Independent reviews found and closed bare-CR EOF normalization and facade ownership gaps. HTTP must report stream failure; HTTPS close-framed output may return EOF, whose partial body must fail complete JSON parsing. The fault/gates/30s bound are unchanged.

The subsequent192MiB out-of-order payload test failed its unchanged30s limit. Native samples show selection and capture repeated after a real rotation. A deterministic public endpoint probe forces rotation after a retained reader is open and fails expected original total1/actual55 at9147ms, proving replacement of the original byte snapshot. Recovery reproducer: https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/tree/wip/l2k-rotation-reproducer-20261005, SHA91c00f57. Candidate narrows generation validation to stable reader acquisition, with scan/proof/capture once on the owned handles; independent source review found no missing contract. Targeted fixed validation is running, then all54 selectors and20 unchanged strict samples must run at the final source. No strict optimization/data/cap/heap change.

Raw source/probes/XML/full stacks/driver/owned temp audits: https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/tree/investigation/l2k-round6-evidence-20261005/investigation/round6-l2k, evidence SHA100cc4e71682708817b82dfcc3ea4aa351a89401. Parent removes its owned large fixtures on forced child termination; no in-process finally claim is made for a killed JVM. Global /tmp activity is shared; per-run full deltas are retained rather than attributed to this lane.

PR https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/pull/650 remains OPEN at f432a051fa87e263fabe776c10af1be768b75842 pending final validation/rebase/safe push. Required kotlin.build(remote), strict deadline decision and merge approval remain orchestrator-owned. No CI watch/rerequest, enqueue/merge/deploy/publication or excluded-repository modification. Do not infer readiness from the historical bodies below.

RE-VERIFY — 2026-10-05T05:00Z — PR 650 round 6 in progress; not merge-ready. Older log readiness claims below are superseded.

Selection identity fail-first probe now passes (baseline0/1, candidate1/1). Recovery source is durable at https://github.com/CodexCoder21Organization/ContainerNursery/tree/wip/l2j-round6-20261005, SHA c5b5d541. PR source still f432a051fa87e263fabe776c10af1be768b75842 pending final validation/rebase/push. Fixture ownership and expanded public mutation probes are under serial targeted validation; strict20 measurements remain. No CI watch/request or production action.

The committed plain-HTTP output failure reproduces in a bare real Ktor2.3.7 Netty server with no CN handler: public client sees200 then times out instead of stream termination. Official NettyHttpResponsePipeline.respondWithFailure cancels/disposes the call but does not close its channel;2.3.13 has the identical path. Native unchanged CN probe fails at the unchanged30s cap,32608ms. This defect requires an upstream fix/publication/dependency update; this lane only owns the CN PR and is explicitly forbidden Maven publication, so it will not add a consumer transport workaround. Strict deadline remains the orchestrator/user decision. Raw source/stack evidence will be pushed at final checkpoint.

RE-VERIFY — 2026-10-05T03:28:58.836701+00:00 — PR 650 round 5 is incomplete. This supersedes every older PR 650 readiness/green claim below. Upload PR 649 remains independently owned and its latest rows are preserved. Recheck live PR/ref state before any action.

Implemented and targeted-tested: filtered query grouping fixes the unchanged-history prefix occurrence; selected retained rows are copied to request-owned raw snapshots before headers, yielding complete 410 before output or complete pages after supported truncate/rotate/prune; 16 HTTP/TLS before/after-header cases pass; final CRLF/EOF rows and physical/output ordering remain correct; request readers close before completion metadata; TLS never appends a second 500 response after 200. Tokener assertions are split out of the strict scenario; no environment configuration is read by those tests. SDK severity visitor follows a real local page-token chain with exact requests, records once and channel cleanup. Six-view traversal assertion wording corrected. No excluded repository modified.

Verification is not green: selected 50-file batch at 0f1a3d31a402982045080649f7a754ba7264d351 passed 49/50; testAdminLogsFailureCleanup failed at the unchanged 30s cap. The strengthened current-head probe fails 0/1 after positively observed 200 headers and a snapshot read fault after at least 64KiB: plain HTTP client waits in ChunkedInputStream for body termination; HTTPS aborts. Exact HTTP writer/transport mechanism is not proven, so no guessed mitigation was applied. The earlier header-wait variant is preserved, not claimed fixed.

Strict campaign passed 14 runs, then run 15 failed the unchanged 30s cap while main awaited paging FutureTask.get; runs 16–20 were not run. Strict workload/production source unchanged across campaign heads 0f1a3d31, 0274ddd4, f432a051. Five healthy fresh-JVM whole-function timings, same canonical flags/128MiB/30s and direct public call with no reflection:

Run Startup ms Workload ms Teardown ms Whole ms
1 7221.628 14200.169 294.804 21730.890
2 8153.328 19347.286 283.366 27796.689

5 2722.316 11702.671 165.798 14616.529

Whole min/median/max = 14.617/21.731/27.797s. The brief explicitly says stop optimizing if five-run max exceeds 15s; no further workload/margin optimization was made. Counts, heap, iterations and cap remain unchanged. Success phase output is omitted by the pinned CLI, so a direct wrapper with identical canonical child flags captured these five phase lines; the strict test only prints its phase line.

Remaining: (1) diagnose committed plain-HTTP output I/O failure body termination from the public fail-first probe, then fix its actual source and verify cleanup/recovery without weakening the test; (2) orchestrator/user decides strict margin under the explicit >15s ruling, then complete acceptable strict proof; (3) required remote CI and independent final review before the orchestrator's merge decision. The lane is incomplete and reports BLOCKED at its budget checkpoint. No requeue-for-green, merge, queue, deploy, or Maven publication occurred. The changed PR description leads with both handoffs and lists round-5 findings 1–6 plus failed verification prominently.

Workaround: gh pr edit queried a retired classic-project GraphQL field; structured REST PATCH applied the prepared description instead. Full error is in findings. No report-challenge auto-merge was invoked because this lane forbids merging.

The workload maximum9333.621ms is3.21x below the unchanged30000ms deadline; reported whole-scenario maximum13750ms is also below15000ms. The original runner function guard remains unchanged; setup/teardown are not claimed to be excluded from that general guard. Timing measurements/new workload bound isolate concurrent paging work. No timeout, iteration, client, row or heap change.

Prominent fixture workaround: SDK3.22.0 local-host construction closes its transport before the first request. The test uses the supported SDK RPC factory, real local gRPC server/channel, complete request filters and14fresh/closed clients; no live Google call and no external SDK fix/publish. Two helper-layout validation failures and two SDK setup failures preceded the actual native-filter baseline; these are not counted as behavioral proof. Full stacks are in the evidence snapshot.

Remaining only: orchestrator-owned kotlin.build (remote) green check, final review and merge decision. This lane stops at that gate; do not infer permission to enqueue/merge/deploy. No excluded repository was modified. Older snapshots below are historical, not current source/readiness.

Previous write-time bodies and profile accounts are preserved in the report/evidence history. Use the verified source/recovery branches above.
