Mission
Carry out briefs/fix1297r14.md: incoming fixture and README align with external-close contract, retain every cleanup assertion, remote fixture FIRST GREEN3/3 and callback-close mutation FIRST RED once, combined12 target run, update PR head/body and get native all-checks green. STOP before enqueue; no merge/deploy/publication/test loosening.
What was found and done
The prior notifier fix is verified at b1e1bc2c5690dd254762dcb3c8bc9158e23f6468 over main c91873ddab64f3e368a11d61750a57d40659eed9. Fresh clone/rebase was a no-op. Prior XML verifies notifier baseline RED3/3, repair FIRST GREEN3/3, twelve contracts FIRST GREEN and incoming fixture guard RED3/3; do not redo those gates.
The orchestrator decision is settled: no worker/observer closes its service. The incoming callback-close fixture and README are authorized corrections. At1002ac2bd93f75277f42bff7b8e018b71c80067f the row callback observes its one real descriptor, creates a retained external closer, waits for maintenance stop publication, then returns. Close observes callback return and joins actual worker before sampling cleanup. Test joins closer before checking retained cleanup assertions and before fixture disposal. Mechanical audit retains all21 original assertion expressions byte-for-byte. No product/guard changes this round. README changes from callback may close to external owner closes; callback must return and owned callback close receives IllegalStateException.
Remote new gates are in progress (three independent green runs plus one callback-close mutation); mutation2431bacba383e124f96ed2ce7085763a071f7cc8 restores only original fixture. All use actual pin0.0.112 and tools/gha-run.sh, no local builds/slots. Independent read-only test and adversarial review in progress. PR remains OPEN old38e38e68180cb32ca8cfe4f6999fc8e834813c35, branch fix/constructor-failure-cleanup-2026-10-07. No repair PR push yet.

Fetch/rebase latest main, affected-pair audit, confirm OPEN, force-with-lease push PR branch once, body PATCH only via gh api -X PATCH -F body=@/absolute/file and verify exact readback. Plain bounded build-watchman0.0.21 --pr1297 --all-checks, never --to-merged. Classify any native red; no blind rerun. Final evidence/report, remove owned checkout/cache and join/cancel all owned processes.
Reusable knowledge
The afterProjectionMaintenanceStopRequested seam runs after stop publication and before maintenance interruption. Callback signal occurs before actual return; the service's subsequent maintenance join proves actual return. Assertions including original messages are preserved mechanically. tools/gha-run snapshots a committed head then uses an isolated throwaway workflow and60s polls; audit XML first attempts since runner retries can hide red. No PR polling faster than60s. Source versus evidence branches are separate; evidence must never be merged.

Why-first body PATCH/readback exact14344characters and contains round7/8/9/10, exact README before/after, mutation and26-target shutdown inventory.
